For over four years, Erin Alexander was the Associate General Counsel – Regulatory & Licensing for multi-state operator Cresco Labs. She was one of Cresco’s first 100 employees. She is an experienced legal advisor and dynamic problem solver with over 15 years of experience in highly regulated industries. Alexander oversaw regulatory legal and licensing across all ten states where Cresco operates cultivation, processing, distribution, and retail facilities. Alexander’s regulatory expertise helped Cresco expand from three to ten markets. She regularly worked with the company’s top leaders to manage and execute Cresco’s regulatory strategy. She also provided counsel on a wide spectrum of legal matters and oversaw Cresco Labs’ license application submissions.

Prior to her time in the regulated cannabis industry, Alexander spent over four years within the Illinois agency that regulates licensed casinos and video gaming operators. The gaming industry provided her with a unique perspective on navigating the regulatory frameworks for the cannabis industry. Most recently, Alexander has joined TechGC - an independent, invitation-only, community platform for General Counsels of leading venture capital funds and high-growth technology companies – as a Director of Content.

Alexander is a member of the International Cannabis Bar Association and a former Board Member and Vice President of Illinois Women in Cannabis, a not-for-profit organization that promotes women’s role in Illinois’ expanding cannabis industry. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University and a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.

Salpy Boyajian joined Flower One in October of 2018 following the acquisition of NLV Organics (NLVO), a renowned consumer brand and luxury cultivator she co-founded in 2014. Through the acquisition, NLVO remains a prominent in-house brand partner to Flower One and has recently been recognized as the top-selling flower brand in the state of Nevada. Since the date of the NLVO acquisition, Boyajian has served as Flower One’s COO of Nevada Operations and formerly as VP of Nevada Operations. A serial entrepreneur and operator, Boyajian has a background in the field of psychotherapy and is a licensed clinician and psychotherapist. Before entering the cannabis space, she served as the Mental Health Director for several leading non-profits in Los Angeles, ultimately founding her own non-profit organization before relocating to Nevada.

After completing the start up stage at the Pharm as Cultivation Director, Sjoerd is now the Genetic Development and R&D Director for The PHARM LLC, a cannabis cultivation business in Willcox, Ariz. that operates a 320,000 square foot glass greenhouse. Sjoerd is a founding member of The Dutch Consulting Company (DCC). DCC’s operations are based on a collaborative platform. That company has enlisted the support of many of the industries’ leading experts to assist clients, including Harborside Farms in California, where DCC assists in all areas of Cannabis operations.

Debby Goldsberry has more than 30 years of experience as a leader in the medical and adult use marijuana industry. She lead Magnolia Wellness dispensary from 2015 – 2020, an award-winning dispensary in Oakland, CA, and is the Compliance Officer and a board member at Hi Fidelity dispensary in Berkeley. She also co-founded the Berkeley Patients Group (BPG) medical cannabis collective in 1999, directing its growth for over 10 years, from 1999 - 2010.

Goldsberry is author of Starting and Running a Marijuana Business (Idiot’s Guide), a well-known industry guide. She developed and implemented standard operating procedures for procurement, product safety, patient relations, and business management and operations, which have been replicated by dispensaries around the nation. She has proven experience in nonprofit business management, public and government relations, and product development and marketing.

As a community leader, Goldsberry is active in the campaign to reform the cannabis laws and to protect patient’s rights. Goldsberry was a Commissioner on the Oakland Cannabis Commission from 2020 - 2021. She is a former board member at California NORML and the Marijuana Policy Project, and is a Professor Emeritus at Oaksterdam University. Goldsberry has been a staff writer at DOPE Magazine and High Times Medical Marijuana Magazine, and Cannabis Dispensary magazine, and was a featured writer at “Smell the Truth,”“Ladybud,” and Freedom Leaf.

She is currently a professional and technical writer, working with Green Rush Consulting to help entrepreneurs secure cannabis business licenses in competitive markets. Goldsberry has been on winning teams in CA, MA, NV, IL, OR, MO, WV, and MD.

Mario Guzman, the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Sherbinskis, is a renowned cannabis tastemaker and curator of the world-famous genetics, Pink Panties, Sunset Sherbert and the Gelato line. He’s been part of the medical marijuana movement for over 20 years, always leading with compassion – “I learned what the movement was all about – helping people.” Furthermore, his desire to serve also stems from his motivation to ensure that the next generation of minority cannabis business professionals have the assistance and guidance from other minorities that he wasn't fortunate enough to have.

Fast forward to present day, what was started as a little garage grow has now evolved into operations across California and beyond. David Holmes

David Holmes has a master’s degree in Mathematics and was an award-winning adjunct mathematics professor. He was awarded a fellowship to conduct research at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. Holmes was inspired to cultivate marijuana in 1999 after a visit to a high-tech indoor garden. He launched his first large-scale commercial facility in 2007. Shortly thereafter, Clade9 was formed to meet demand for cultivation experts. Applying his expertise in grow room design and management, as well as world-class nutrients, Holmes focused on medical marijuana strain breeding. He has developed over a dozen strains including the Ying Yang, a high-CDB strain with superior seizure-reducing capacities.

Nicholas Jack is a professional cannabis retail sales expert and overall virtuoso on the subject of cannabis. His knowledge and physical work produced in the field is of the highest quality, accuracy, compliance, and dedication. Jack has supervised the daily operations of Diego Pellicer's retail stores as its Chief Retail Officer, including sales, cash handling, standard operating procedures, financial reporting, inventory management, customer service, regulatory compliance, client communication, and client education. Prior to Merida, Kelley served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of LeafLine Labs. Additionally, he has held management roles at Dun & Bradstreet, Investors Bank & Trust, Wind River Capital Management, and Fresenius Medical Care. He has consulted to the SAP Business Incubator and the Civilian Research & Development Fund. Kelley earned his BSBA in Management and Finance from Bryant University in Rhode Island.

Emily received her B.S. in Horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and brings over a decade of experience in propagation, cultivation, and operations.

Amber Littlejohn is the former Executive Director of the Minority Cannabis Business Association, the largest national trade association representing minority cannabis businesses and their communities. Amber is a policy attorney and veteran advocate for emerging and embattled industries. Prior to her role as Executive Director, she served as MCBA’s Senior Policy Advisor, where she helped develop and implement their federal policy program, Amber was a business owner, counselor, and advocate in the cannabis and natural products industries including roles at the American Herbal Products Association and Natural Products Association.

In addition to her role at MCBA, Amber serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Hemp Authority and as Convening Officer for Minority Empowerment for the U.S. Hemp Roundtable.

Andy Lytwynec serves as Canopy Growth’s Vice President of the U.S. Cannabis Portfolio. In this role, Andy leads the company’s strategic approach to the U.S. cannabis market. During his more than three years with Canopy, Andy has held the roles of VP of the Global Vape Business, as well as VP of USA Strategy. Andy served as a member of the GreenStrar joint- development team that created Canopy’s beverage concepts, including Quatreau and Deep Space. In 2021, he helped launch Canopy’s first-ever CBD vape, whisl, which is now the #3 vape in its category. Andy brings an extensive background in business and corporate strategy roles, including previously holding the roles of Director of Corporate Strategy of Constellation Brands, Engagement Manager in Accenture's CPG Strategy practice, and in Xerox's Corporate Strategy Office. Parfitt served as the Vice President of Customer Engagement and Marketing for Mission Dispensaries, which currently owns or manages nine retail locations in six states. In that role, she oversaw consumer experience and marketing/brand strategies for the booming cannabis dispensary operator, as well as developed the concept of joint business planning, which includes strategic sourcing, assortment optimization and activation. Laurie also works with Union Cannabis Group on the Dabstract brand as their Chief Experience Officer. Most recently, Pih was the Chief Marketing Officer at CannaCraft, one of the largest cannabis company in California. During her time at CannaCraft, Pih led a dynamic team across Marketing, R&D and Scientific Affairs, giving her the opportunity to be innovation-focused. In only 15 months, she launched two new brands and 70 new products while directing an existing portfolio of 12 brands.

Pih created and launched CannaCraft’s first wholly owned, cannabis-infused beverage brand, GEM + JANE, a line of microdosed sparkling botanical beverages created for women by women.

She specializes in high-growth companies primed for national and international expansion, as a growth and sales-driven marketer she takes a holistic omnichannel approach to solve business challenges, grow brands, and influence consumer behavior. Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Hope Wiseman has always been passionate about serving her community. In 2014, Wiseman graduated with an economics degree from the illustrious Spelman College. After spending a year at SunTrust as an Equity Institutional Sales Analyst, Wiseman decided to continue striving for excellence by pursuing her dreams of entrepreneurship. In Fall 2017, Wiseman became the youngest Black woman dispensary owner in the United States with the opening of Mary & Main dispensary in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She has been featured in Black Enterprise, Huffington Post, Blavity, and more. In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Wiseman is a speaker and consultant to individuals who are looking to enter the cannabis industry.
