Brent Barnes has spent his entire career working in many facets of plant science and genetics. He began his career in research and development of agronomic trials at the University of California, Riverside and at the USDA Germplasm Repository for Citrus and Dates. Finding a passion for plant breeding using wild species, he later became the Director of Plant Breeding for an international genetics company.  He later decided to bring his knowledge to the cannabis industry. He co-founded California-based Claybourne Co., which produces top tier cannabis with special attention given to each step of the production process to maintain quality, create consistency, and add innovation.
