Christine DeJesus

Christine DeJesus

General Manager and Director of Cultivation, Galenas

Christine DeJesus currently serves as General Manager and Director of Cultivation for Galenas, a Certified Kind craft cultivator in Akron, Ohio. She has many years of significant organic farming experience, having designed, and directed cultivation for Great Lakes Brewing Company's Pint Size Farm, where she spent over a decade refining her skills in regenerative organic farming. DeJesus has donated extensive time in volunteer and professional capacities to multiple organizations working toward the reform of cannabis policy, including Women Grow and Marijuana Policy Project, and she co-founded the non-profit organization, The Midwest CannaWomen.  DeJesus authored the horticulture curriculum for the Cleveland School of Cannabis, based on the soil food web and plant biochemistry and physiology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kent State University and received a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

DeJesus has been featured in many publications, at The Cleveland Museum of Natural History's "Our Global Kitchen" exhibit, and in the documentary, "Polycultures:  Food Where We Live."
