Laura is the Chief Operating Officer for nuEra Cannabis, a rapidly growing vertically integrated cannabis operator with retail operations in Illinois and cultivation and production operations in Illinois and Michigan. As part of the NuEra team, Laura has navigated the ups and downs of the Illinois and Michigan cannabis markets as they transitioned from medical to adult-use, working on everything from writing applications, securing zoning approvals, supervising buildout projects, developing multiple MIP brands and helping negotiate major M&A transactions. Before joining the cannabis industry, Laura had a successful career in the media industry. She served as COO of Naím Media Group, a media development startup based in Washington DC that develops, produces and distributes content from fictional television series to feature documentaries. For several years, she served as Executive Producer of Efecto Naím, an Emmy-winning weekly newsmagazine show on international affairs broadcast throughout the Americas.
