Mark Passerini

Executive Vice President of Retail Operations , Mission Dispensaries

Mark Passerini serves as Executive Vice President of Retail Operations for Mission Dispensaries.  Passerini has 25-plus years of sales and management experience in a variety of industries, including more than a decade of experience within the cannabis space, both as a retail business owner and advocate for the industry.

In his role at Mission, Passerini utilizes his combination of operations and retail development experience to implement and maintain the organizational design, retail strategies, and staff training and development programs for the Mission family of stores. In addition, Passerini is in charge of growing the Mission brand and establishing educational guidelines to ensure effective communication with customers and patients.

Prior to joining Mission, Passerini operated Om of Medicine, a leading Michigan state-licensed medicinal cannabis dispensary he co-founded in 2010. At Om of Medicine, he led all aspects of the dispensary’s retail operations and was instrumental in developing the brand’s unique 1:1 consultative approach that allowed patients to receive a personalized and, if requested, private retail experience. He also formed a partnership with the University of Michigan to develop and recruit for cannabis-related medical research studies. 

Passerini serves on the board of directors for the National Cannabis Industry Association and is an active member of the ArcView Group, a private investment and market research firm. Additionally, he is the Vice Chairman for the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association (MiCIA) and founder of the Ann Arbor Medical Cannabis Guild, where he served as president for the first two years of its existence.

Since 2013, he has organized and emceed Hash Bash, the nation’s longest-running cannabis reform rally. The event routinely hosts 10,000+ attendees, doctors, national politicians, advocates and entertainers all calling for sensible cannabis policy.
