Marlon Mallas joined Lume Cannabis Co. in January 2019 as General Manager of Cultivation. Mallas helps design and operate Lume's indoor and outdoor cultivations, growing nearly 60,000 plants. The indoor cultivation is known to be one of the most advanced cultivations in the country. In addition to managing operations, Mallas facilitates R&D that contributes to the development of proprietary equipment and processes that give the company a competitive advantage. Prior to joining Lume, he served a dual role as Cultivation Manager and Critical Equipment Specialist for GB Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company out of Nevada that develops and patents compounds derived from cannabis for use as treatments and therapeutics for ailments and diseases. Prior to GB Sciences, Mallas worked in subsea construction for Morrison Energy. There, he specialized in the use of hyperbaric chambers that sustain human life under pressure for the purpose of reducing the physiological effects on the body in deep-sea environments.
