Dr. Ronen Shemesh is a Pharma, medical scientific and business-oriented leader, and entrepreneur. Holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Has over 22 years of experience in the Pharma-biotech industry, most of them in drug discovery, drug development and genomics/proteomics/bioinformatics research and development. Apart from founding Fertiprot and holding the Chief Scientific Officer position there, Dr. Shemesh's career includes Director and C-level positions in several leading companies including Pomicell, TEVA, Compugen, Quark, Atox Bio and Sanofi. Currently, Dr. Shemesh is working as Chief Scientific Officer of Bio-Sciences Pharma Ltd, VP Scientific Innovation for the global Impact NRS group, and via his consultancy "Shemesh R. Consulting,” he consults in drug discovery, development and repurposing to Pharma and biotech companies including Pomicell, Sonovia, Betalin, Pelli-Medica, Ariel University’s translational drug development unit, Kamada, Pepticom, Silenseed, Maruho-Israel Innovative Fund (Hotaru) and more.
